We are thrilled to share our recent project in Southampton, where we had the pleasure of supplying and installing a pontoon for a customer building their dream lake house. Our team worked to create a single-layer CUBISYSTEM pontoon platform that allows safe and easy access across the half marsh and half lake house build project.
The installation process for the CUBISYSTEM pontoon platform - A piling contractor had previously installed the piles, and CUBISYSTEM is the perfect tool for the job. We assembled 260m² of pontoon around the piles to ensure minimal gaps, providing the building team with access to the piles and other building foundations while floating on the lake.
During installation, we carefully assemble the pontoon sections around the piles, ensuring safety and stability. Edge protection and gangways were installed to enhance safety for the building team, and our customer was delighted with the results. Our logistics team efficiently managed the delivery of all materials to and from the site in Southampton using two Hiab lorries. Our skilled installation team, comprised of three members, worked on-site for two days to ensure everything was set up correctly. Many weeks later, a removal team was present for another two days to demobilise all of the equipment.
The entire process requires careful planning and skilled execution to ensure everything meets safety standards and customer expectations. We are proud to have played a vital role in this exciting project as the pontoon supplier.
